Falcon Test Engineers (“Falcon”, “we”, “us”) is an independent testing laboratory based at 44 Stephen Road, Dandenong South, VIC 3175. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through this website and in the course of responding to enquiries. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

We collect personal information that you choose to give us, such as:

• your name, job title and company;
• your email address and phone number;
• the details of your enquiry, including information about your products, packaging or testing requirements; and
• anything else you include when you contact us by form, email or phone.

We also receive limited technical information when you visit this website, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. This is recorded in standard server logs by our hosting provider and is used to operate and secure the website.

We collect personal information directly from you when you submit our enquiry form, email us, call us or deal with us as a client or supplier. Our enquiry form is provided by monday.com and is embedded on this website, so what you enter into it is processed by monday.com on our behalf (see “Third-party services” below).

We use personal information to:

• respond to your enquiry and prepare scopes, timeframes and quotes;
• provide testing, reporting and approval services you request;
• manage our client relationships, invoicing and records;
• operate, maintain and improve this website; and
• meet our legal, accreditation and regulatory obligations.

We do not sell personal information, and we only use it for marketing where you have asked us to or would reasonably expect it. You can ask us to stop at any time.

This website uses a small number of third-party services:

• monday.com hosts our enquiry form and receives the information you submit through it. monday.com may store and process that information on servers outside Australia. See monday.com’s privacy policy.
• Google Maps is embedded on our Contact page to show our location. Loading the map may share information such as your IP address with Google. See Google’s privacy policy.
• Our website hosting provider processes the technical information described above to deliver the site.

We only disclose personal information to others where it is needed to deliver our services, where you have agreed, or where we are required or authorised by law.

This website does not currently use advertising or analytics cookies. The third-party services listed above may set their own cookies or similar technologies when their content loads. If we introduce analytics in future, we will update this policy.

Information about clients’ products, packaging designs and test results is treated as confidential and used only for the purpose of the work you engage us for, unless you agree otherwise or we are required by law, or by our accreditation body, to disclose it.

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. We keep personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purposes above or as required by law, and then take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it.

You can ask us for access to the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by contacting us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable time, and may need to verify your identity first.

If you think we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles, please contact us and we will investigate and respond. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
